Physiotherapy is one of the most developing areas of health care.
This is an important and increasingly appreciated part of medical science.
The aim of studies at our University in the field of Physiotherapy is to prepare highly qualified specialists in this field.
As defined by the World Confederation of Physiotherapy, "Physiotherapy is the provision of services to individuals or populations of individuals intended to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional abilities".
All physiotherapy activities are intended to ensure the patient's full well-being. Physiotherapy is a range of natural treatment methods.
To improve the quality of life of patients, therapists use: manual methods, e.g. massage, movement, physical therapy including electrotherapy, laser therapy and others. Hydrotherapy, or popular water therapy, is also an important method of physiotherapy.
The priority of Physiotherapy is to improve the quality of a person's life, his or her fitness and good psychomotor condition. Physiotherapy also supports pain relief and prevents recurrence of musculoskeletal disorders.
